All “Doodle” grooming prices start at $65+
All pets are required to have current Rabies & Distemper vaccinations to be groomed, by Iowa Law. If your pet is not up to date, you will need to reschedule. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The pet owner is responsible for providing a paper copy of the vaccination record at the first appointment and when vaccinations are updated yearly. We will no longer call or contact your vet for you to confirm vaccination records.
Grooming services are priced based on a variety of factors. All prices are subject to change based on pet condition, behavior during the grooming process and desired haircut. All grooming services are subject to 7% Iowa sales tax.
Grooming Services include: bath with blueberry facial, shampoo & conditioner, blow dry, brush out, haircut, nail trim/grinding, ear cleaning, anal gland expression and a complimentary accessory.
If a pet is found to have fleas or flea dirt we can treat your pet with a flea shampoo & oral medication, for an additional charge of $15 and continue with grooming.
If you do not want your pet treated, they must be picked up immediately. Our treatment will kill all the live fleas on your pet for 24 hours.
We highly recommend keeping your pets on a flea preventive from a veterinarian but do not require documentation for grooming.
Ruff Cuts values humanity above vanity at all times. If a pet is heavily matted, they will be shaved for their comfort. We will try to save coat on the face, tail, head and ears if possible.
Severe matting can cause damage to the skin, your pet may have bruising, irritation, redness, itching, wounds, rashes or other skin issues that were not visible. Injuries from restricted blood flow may not be present right away but will become visible as blood flow returns to the surface of the skin. The close shave required to get underneath matted coats may cause nicks, cuts, abrasions and further irritation.
Payment is due at time of service, no exceptions. Ruff Cuts accepts cash and check. The returned check fee is $20. A client that writes a bad check will be required to pay in cash only.
Clients that do not give at least one hour notice before cancelling/rescheduling an appointment will be charged a $20 cancellation fee.
Clients that no call/no show more than once will not be allowed to rebook. New clients that do not show for their first appointment will not be allowed to rebook.
If your pet has been exhibiting signs of illness such as vomiting, diarrhea, fever or coughing 24 hours before your appointment, please contact us to reschedule. If your pet exhibits these symptoms during grooming, they may be sent home.
If your pet has a chronic illness please make us aware so we can do our best to accommodate them safely. If at any point we feel grooming may be over-stressing or causing pain to your pet we will stop the grooming and refer you to a vet for your pets safety.
If your pet has had an injury or recent surgery please check with your vet before scheduling your next appointment and be sure to make us aware of any ongoing health issues. If your pet is injured or becomes ill during grooming and requires veterinary care we will contact you immediately.
If your pet develops a rash, itching, infection, allergy or other skin issue after grooming, contact Ruff Cuts immediately! We will advise you on how to help your pet be more comfortable. If medical care is required related to a grooming, Ruff Cuts will reimburse the cost only if it is determined to be grooming related, documented by a veterinarian and the issue is reported to us within 24 hours of the appointment.
